Ohio Grandmother Arrested for Shooting Her Own Six-Month-Old Grandchild

HAMILTON, OH – Mia Desiree Harris, a 43-year-old grandmother, has been arrested for shooting her six-month-old grandchild.

The incident occurred early Saturday in Liberty Township. Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones reports that deputies responded to a call at 1:50 a.m. on Dutch View Court.

The infant, found with a gunshot wound to the head, is in critical condition at University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital.

Details surrounding the shooting are under investigation by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. Harris is in custody, facing charges related to the incident.
