Deadly Pedestrian-Involved Crash Reported in Suitland

SUITLAND, MD – A fatal pedestrian collision in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Suitland is currently under investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit. The incident occurred on the 5000 block of Branch Avenue.

Responding officers found the adult male pedestrian in the roadway, suffering from significant trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial findings suggest that the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Branch Avenue. The driver involved remained at the scene and was unharmed.

The department is seeking information from the public regarding this incident. Witnesses or those with relevant information are asked to contact the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422.
