HOBE SOUND, FL – A Georgia man with a significant criminal history was arrested in a Hobe Sound neighborhood after security footage captured him behaving suspiciously around a private residence.
The incident occurred on Tuesday off Gomez Avenue, where 48-year-old John Childers, a homeless individual, was observed prowling and taking photos of a home.
Childers attempted to look inside the home and was captured on camera taking photos through the glass.
Upon arrival, deputies found his vehicle with Texas plates parked nearby. Childers was arrested and charged with prowling.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division requests anyone with similar experiences involving Childers to contact them.
