PITTSBURGH, PA – A shooting inside a downtown Pittsburgh Arby’s restaurant last Thursday afternoon is currently under investigation by the Pittsburgh Police.

Chief Larry Scirotto reported that the incident occurred in the 800 block of Liberty Avenue.

A man in his mid-20s sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and has been detained. He was located in Market Square and transported to a hospital in stable condition. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

Chief Scirotto noted that a second individual involved in the shooting fled and is still at large. The incident, involving 15 rounds fired, seems to have stemmed from a confrontation between the two acquaintances.

A restaurant manager, present during the shooting, alerted the police and sought safety in the freezer. The police arrived on the scene within a minute of the 911 call.
