Shooting in Queens Leaves One Dead, One Injured

QUEENS, NY – A shooting incident in Queens resulted in the death of a 28-year-old woman and left a 39-year-old man injured. The New York City Police Department is investigating the case, which occurred in the area of 127 Street and Liberty Avenue.

On Wednesday, December 26, just before midnight, a black Honda sedan arrived at the 103 Precinct station house. The driver, a 39-year-old male, reported that he and his female passenger had been shot. The shooting took place within the 106 Precinct’s jurisdiction.

The man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, while the 28-year-old female passenger suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The man was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and is reportedly in stable condition.

As of now, no arrests have been made. The NYPD is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident. The identity of the deceased woman is being withheld until her family is notified. The police urge anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
