Woman Abducted from Home, Suspect in Custody

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA – On Wednesday, at approximately 6 am, the Albemarle County Police Department responded to a reported abduction on the 4100 block of Blenheim Road.

Dillon S. Matney, 25, of Albemarle County, allegedly brandished a firearm and forced a female victim from her residence before fleeing.

Following an extensive search, the victim was safely located within the county. Matney was apprehended without incident and faces charges including Felony Abduction and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

He is currently held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
