PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department has made a significant arrest in connection with a fatal shooting on December 28, 2023.
Harvey Barnes III, an 18-year-old from Upper Marlboro, has been charged with the murder of 37-year-old Timothy Emmanuel Jones of Washington, DC.
The incident occurred around 3:05 pm on December 28 in the 900 block of St. Michaels Drive, Bowie.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Jones in a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation indicates that the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the victim and Barnes, who shared mutual acquaintances. Barnes now faces first and second-degree murder charges and is held on a no-bond status. The Police Department asks anyone with additional information to contact their Homicide Unit.
