Suffolk County Couple Over Child’s Deadly Drug Overdose

SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. – Wilkens Adonis and Daryllee Leibrock, both 38, from Holbrook, were indicted for possessing narcotics and weapons in their home, following their 14-month-old son Joseph Adonis’s suspected overdose death.

Suffolk County Police responded to a 911 call on January 3, about an unresponsive child in Holbrook. At the scene, they found the couple with their unresponsive toddler, who was later pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital.

A search of the residence led to the discovery of heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, alprazolam, drug packaging materials, an electronic stun gun, a loaded shotgun, and a rifle.

These items were allegedly unsecured and within reach of the couple’s children. Leibrock also faces charges for violating protection orders involving the children.

The couple is indicted for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and related charges. The toddler’s death remains under investigation.
