Traffic Stop Leads to Theft and Traffic Charges in Chesapeake Beach

CHESAPEAKE BEACH, MD – On January 15, Deputy Hudson conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle without registration plates in Chesapeake Beach.

The driver, Ashley Marie Howes, 37, of Chesapeake Beach, was found to be driving without a valid license and in an unregistered vehicle.

A search revealed a stolen Virginia registration plate in the trunk.

Howes was charged with traffic-related offenses and theft of less than $100.

She was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
