MIDDLETOWN, NY – Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced the sentencing of Naajib Jackson, 28, of Middletown, on Monday.

Jackson was sentenced to ten years in prison and five years of post-release supervision for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, following his guilty plea in Orange County Court.

Additionally, he received an eight-year concurrent prison term for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

The charges stem from a December 21, 2022, incident where Jackson, captured on surveillance video, shot another man in the leg. Co-defendant Wayne Lewis, involved in the same incident, was previously sentenced to twelve years to life in prison.

The City of Middletown Police Department led the investigation, supported by the New York State Police and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center.
