Washington, D.C. – Detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Seventh District are appealing to the community for assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a recent shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening when officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of 13th Place following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they found a ten-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. The child was quickly transported to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
Authorities have obtained footage from nearby cameras showing both a suspect and a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident.

The D.C. Metro Police Department urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or the vehicle’s whereabouts to come forward.
