Manhattan Sephora Employee Assaulted Trying to Stop Shoplifters

NEW YORK, NY – Police received a report of a robbery at the Sephora store on 40 East 14th Street, where six unidentified suspects entered the premises. The incident, which occurred at 1509 hours, resulted in a physical altercation when store employees attempted to recover stolen merchandise.

A 22-year-old male employee was assaulted, receiving a punch to the face as he tried to intervene. The assailants made off with approximately $950 worth of fragrances, escaping on foot. The injured employee received treatment for minor injuries at the scene by EMS personnel.
