Arrest in Annapolis Junction Road Rage Shooting

ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, MD – On March 8, a road rage incident escalated to a non-contact shooting on the ramp from Route 32 East to Baltimore Washington Parkway South. Two women who knew each other from a previous encounter were involved. Their vehicles collided, leading to an argument outside their cars.

As the victim attempted to re-enter her vehicle, the suspect discharged a firearm, hitting the front of the victim’s 2002 Honda Civic, before fleeing in a white Hyundai. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The Western District detectives, who are conducting the investigation, encourage anyone with information to call 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.O

An arrest warrant was issued for Tawana Amari Watkins, a 24-year-old from Waldorf, on March 8. On March 12, Watkins was apprehended by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office on March 11.
