D.C. Metro Police Make Arrest in Trio of Armed Carjackings

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force, with assistance from the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force, has successfully apprehended 35-year-old Junious Plummer of Southeast, D.C., in connection with three armed carjackings in the Sixth District. These incidents, marked by violence and intimidation, occurred over several months, starting in August 2023 and culminating in December 2023.

The series of carjackings involved direct confrontations with the victims, including the use of a handgun and a rifle to threaten and assault the victims before stealing their vehicles. The arrest, made on April 2, 2024, was based on a U.S. District Court warrant, charging Plummer with three counts of Armed Carjacking.
