WASHINGTON, D.C. – D.C. Metro Police Department detectives from the Sixth District are actively searching for a man connected to a shooting in Southeast D.C. last week. On the morning of Friday, April 5, officers were dispatched to Fairlawn Avenue in response to a shooting incident. They found an adult female victim with non-life-threatening injuries, who was subsequently hospitalized.
The individual sought in connection with this violent act is Michael Owusu-Sakyi, 47, from Southeast D.C. He faces charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (gun) under a D.C. Superior Court Arrest Warrant. Authorities have circulated a photo of Owusu-Sakyi to aid in his capture.
