Clarkstown Police to Participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

CLARKSTOWN, NY – The Clarkstown Police Department has announced its participation in the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Program, scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at CVS locations in New City and Bardonia.

Residents are encouraged to safely dispose of their unused or expired prescription medications by dropping them off during the event. It is important to note that liquids and needles will not be accepted.

For those unable to attend the event, the Clarkstown Police Department provides a year-round option. Unused, unwanted, or expired medications can be dropped off 24/7 at the police department headquarters located at 20 Maple Avenue, New City, with the same restrictions on liquids and needles. This ongoing service aims to prevent medication misuse and ensure safe disposal.
