Columbus Police Seek Witnesses in Tragic Homicide of Young Teen

COLUMBUS, OH—Columbus Police detectives are urgently requesting the public’s assistance in the ongoing investigation into the homicide of 13-year-old Angel Diaz, which occurred on April 14th. The incident took place in the 1300 block of E. Hudson Street, where officers responded to a complaint and found Angel suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate aid provided by officers, Angel was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are specifically looking for the occupants of a 2008-2012 Ford Escape believed to have been in the vicinity at the time of the shooting. These individuals may hold crucial information about the events leading to Angel’s death. Additionally, local residents with surveillance cameras are asked to review footage from 8:15 PM to 10:15 PM on the night of April 14th for any relevant details.
