Teen Arrested for Armed Carjacking in South Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — A 16-year-old male was arrested on charges related to an armed carjacking that occurred on the morning of April 18, 2024, in the Southern District of Baltimore. Officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of West Patapsco Avenue at approximately 6:42 a.m. after receiving reports of the incident.

The victim, a male complainant, reported that he was carjacked at gunpoint by a group of unidentified males. Following an investigation and with the aid of Baltimore County Foxtrot, police later located and apprehended the teenage suspect on the 2300 block of James Street.

The suspect was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged as an adult under relevant statutes. This arrest underscores the ongoing challenges and response efforts related to violent crime in the city.
