92-Year-Old Crushed by Skid Loader on Family Farm

An incident on a family farm resulted in the death of a 92-year-old man, as announced by the York County Coroner’s Office on Sunday. According to the release,

David Evans was engaged in operating a skid loader on the farm when a family member discovered that the vehicle had overturned, trapping him. He was still seatbelted in the skid loader when Emergency Medical Services reached the farm located in the 5200 block of East Prospect Road in lower Windsor Township on Saturday. Despite resuscitation attempts, efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

At approximately 4:23 p.m., Deputy Coroner Scott Pennewill, along with Deputy Coroner-in-Training Tre’ Touchet, were summoned to the scene to examine and confirm the death. Evans was eventually declared deceased at the location at 5:46 p.m., and no autopsy is scheduled. However, the official cause and manner of Evans’ passing are awaiting the results of the local police’s inquiry.
