Teen Girl Shot in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — A shooting investigation is ongoing in Baltimore’s Western District following an incident on Wednesday afternoon. At approximately 3:30 PM, patrolling officers near Laurens Street and Carey Street reported gunfire. Shortly after, a ShotSpotter alert led them to the 1300 block of North Woodyear Street.

At the scene, officers discovered a juvenile female with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. She was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Western District Shooting detectives have taken over the investigation.
