Drunk Virginia Woman Rams Sheriff's Vehicle

**Stafford, VA** – A 66-year-old woman allegedly drunk when she hit a sheriff’s deputy in northern Virginia this week is facing multiple charges, authorities reported. Patricia Wilson, from Manassas, was accused of driving in the wrong direction and crashing into a Stafford County Sheriff’s deputy on the Jessica Chaney Bridge shortly before 10:30 p.m. last Tuesday.

The collision with the officer occurred as he tried to signal her to stop using his emergency equipment. Despite no injuries, police found Wilson displaying visible signs of intoxication. At first, she denied drinking, only to admit to having a small amount of wine later.

The woman had a prior DUI incident in Culpeper four months earlier. Following the incident, Wilson was charged with a DUI, her second offense within five years, along with reckless driving and failure to stay on her side of the road. She was detained at Rappahannock Regional Jail and not permitted bond.
