Akron, OH- This past Thursday, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Isaiah McKinney, 19, a suspect wanted for murder by the Akron Police Department. Responding to a shots-fired call on Everton Drive, officers found Gregory Dykes, 37, shot in the head in the apartment complex.
Earlier today, the NOVFTF and Akron Police Department apprehended McKinney at a residence on Kling Street, Akron, Ohio. Reportedly, McKinney discharged a firearm during the arrest, although no task force members sustained injuries. The police seized a firearm and shell casing after the arrest, while additional charges are pending.
