Brooklyn Man Pleads Guilty to Selling Illegal Animal Parts

Brooklyn, NY – Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Interim Commissioner Sean Mahar revealed that a Brooklyn man admitted to selling a prohibited cougar head to an undercover officer. In addition to the plea, the defendant surrendered other illegal items in his possession.

District Attorney Gonzalez emphasized the importance of halting the illegal wildlife trade to protect endangered species. Interim Commissioner Mahar highlighted the significance of cracking down on the unlawful trafficking of wild animals in New York State to safeguard them from potential harm.
