Pennsylvania Man Arrested for Murder of Wife and Daughter

Kennett Square, PA – The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police announced the arrest of Roger Hanks, 76, of Kennett Square, for the double murder of his wife and adult daughter last week.

Hanks faces two counts of Murder of the First Degree along with additional charges in relation to the incident. Magisterial District Judge Albert Iacocca oversaw the Defendant’s arraignment, resulting in his detainment at the Chester County Prison without bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for May 8, 2024.

According to the criminal complaint filed by the Pennsylvania State Police, authorities responded to a shooting report at a residence on the 200 Block of Wiltshire Drive in East Marlborough Township, Chester County, on April 25.

Upon arriving, officers apprehended the defendant at the scene, where they discovered two victims with gunshot wounds inside the house.

Despite their efforts, emergency life-saving attempts on the victims were unsuccessful.
