Elderly Man Robbed of Cellphone in Bronx

BRONX, NY — A 66-year-old man was robbed while sitting on a bench at the corner of Concourse Village West and East 158 Street on Thursday, April 18, at approximately 10:45 PM. Two unidentified males approached the elderly victim in a coordinated theft that resulted in the loss of his $700 cellphone.

The first individual distracted the victim by asking for his cellphone, while the second suspect approached from behind and forcibly took the device from the victim’s hand. Both assailants then fled the scene on foot heading southbound on Concourse Village West.

The suspects are described as two males, aged between 20 to 25 years, with dark skin complexions and slim builds. No injuries were reported following the incident. Police are seeking information from the public to help identify and locate the individuals involved.
