Utica Police Apprehend Suspects in $1,000 Walmart Shoplifting Spree

Utica, NY – Utica Police Officers responded to a shoplifting incident at the North Utica Walmart on Sunday. They found that suspects had attempted to steal items worth over $1,000 from the store.

The investigation was then handed over to the Criminal Investigations Division. The suspects were identified through cooperation with Loss Prevention personnel and surveillance footage. They later turned themselves into the Utica Police Department.

Mitchell Wallace, 22, and Bryan Stannard, 38, both from Rome, were charged with Grand Larceny in the fourth degree.
