by Local News Report

Boston, MA – At about 8:17 PM on Tuesday, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Nick St. Jilus, 19, of Randolph, on firearm charges. Police had responded to a disturbance at 555 River Street caused by a large group blocking traffic.

The situation escalated as the group grew confrontational towards officers. St. Jilus, wearing a backpack, was seen walking towards a vehicle with a “No Trespassing” sign. Officers attempted to speak with him but were ignored, leading to an attempt to flee and subsequent arrest.

A firearm, a Century Arms TP9, was found in the vehicle with ammunition. St. Jilus faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, along with other related charges, and is set to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
