Father and Girlfriend Charged with Attempted Murder of Daughter in Pennsylvania

by Local News Report

West Caln Township, PA – Rendell Hoagland and Cindy Warren, both of West Caln Township, have been arrested for attempted murder in the tragic death of Malinda Hoagland, daughter of Rendell Hoagland.

According to Chester County District Attorney Christopher L. de Barrena-Sarobe, the 12-year-old girl was found barely alive by police after her father reported her unconscious at home.

Paramedics unsuccessfully tried to save Malinda at the hospital due to organ failure, a result of the torment and mistreatment she endured allegedly at the hands of her father and his girlfriend.

Reports indicate she was found in an extremely frail state, weighing only 50 pounds and with multiple broken bones and bruises. Examples of abuse cited involve shackling her, withholding food, and forcing her to do rigorous exercises. Meanwhile, Warren’s 9-year-old child residing in the same house was unharmed.
