HARLEM, NY—A 96-year-old woman fell victim to a robbery on Friday, May 24, in Harlem, resulting in minor injuries. The incident occurred at approximately 5:25 PM near the intersection of West 127 Street and 8 Avenue.

An unidentified male assailant, riding a black moped, approached the elderly woman and forcefully snatched a necklace from her neck. The abrupt action caused the victim to fall, sustaining injuries from the incident. Following the theft, the perpetrator quickly fled the scene, heading eastbound on West 127 Street.

Emergency services responded promptly, and the victim was transported to Harlem Hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
