Fatal Shooting in Southwest Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD—A 41-year-old man has died following a late-night shooting in Baltimore’s Southwest District. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of West Fairmont Avenue, where police responded to a shooting report around 12:40 AM on May 27, 2024.

Upon arrival, Southwest District patrol officers found the victim suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting have not yet been released, and the investigation is ongoing. Baltimore Police are seeking information from the public to help identify and apprehend those responsible for this fatal incident.
