Fatal Pedestrian Crash Reported on Route 30 in Absecon

ABSECON, NJ — A tragic pedestrian accident resulted in a fatality on Route 30, also known as Absecon Boulevard. The Absecon Police Department responded to the scene just after 10:00 PM on Friday, east of the Delilah Road overpass.

The driver involved in the incident stayed at the location and is currently cooperating with police investigations. The incident led to a significant disruption, with traffic being halted for about four hours.

The Absecon Police Department’s Traffic Unit is handling the investigation and is calling for witnesses or anyone with information about the crash to come forward. Concerned parties are asked to contact the Traffic Safety Unit at (609) 641-0667, extension 214, and speak with Ptl. Da’Zhon Bethea, the lead investigator on the case.
