Philadelphia Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspect

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Central Detective Division is requesting help from the public to identify a suspect involved in a robbery on May 30. The incident, captured in a video clip, took place at approximately 6:35 AM at the corner of 2nd Street and Arch Street.

According to police reports, the victim, a 30-year-old female, was assaulted by an unknown female who grabbed her by the neck and forcibly took her cell phone. The suspect, described as either a white or Hispanic female with dreadlock hair, was last seen wearing a dark jacket and tan shorts. She fled toward Independence Park following the incident.

Fortunately, the victim was able to locate and recover her stolen cell phone from a nearby trash can shortly after the robbery. Authorities are now urging anyone with information about the suspect or the event to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
