STAFFORD COUNTY, VA – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has released its daily incident report for June 17, 2024, detailing several notable law enforcement actions across the county.

Assault On June 14, at 8:38 AM on Courthouse Road, Deputy F.A. Martinez responded to an assault involving a group of friends and one member’s ex-girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend assaulted another woman in the group. Given that the suspect is a juvenile, a criminal complaint for assault and battery was filed.

DUI Incidents Multiple DUI arrests were made, including one on June 15 at Falmouth Beach, 401 River Road. Deputy D.S. Jett intervened when a vehicle, driven by an intoxicated individual who admitted to drinking Coronas, attempted to drive through a park. Another incident involved a vehicle speeding on Kings Highway and Federal Drive, which nearly hit Sergeant S.C. Jett’s cruiser. The driver showed extreme signs of intoxication and was found with multiple open beer containers.

Larceny Two larceny cases were reported, including one at the Wawa on Garrisonville Road. Deputy B.E. Vaughn is investigating a theft captured on store video. Another incident on Belle Plains Road involved a man who drove off in his neighbor’s truck without permission, claiming he needed it to go to the store.

Public Intoxication Public intoxication incidents were also reported. At Wawa on 9 South Gateway Drive, a woman was found in a state of intoxication in the bathroom. Another intoxicated woman was apprehended on Long Point Drive after causing a disturbance in the street.

Trespass A recurring trespass issue at Target on Stafford Market Place resulted in the arrest of a familiar suspect on June 14. Deputy B.W. Gildea apprehended the individual, who had previously been banned from the location.
