STAFFORD COUNTY, VA – A DUI arrest was made early on June 27 at the intersection of Warrenton Road and Cambridge Street, as reported in the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office daily incident log. Deputy M.A. Holub was dispatched to the scene following a report of a box truck driver passed out behind the wheel.

Upon arrival, Fire and Rescue staff were attending to the driver who, after waking up, attempted to drive away. The vehicle was subsequently found stopped in the middle of the roadway. Initial interactions with the driver suggested no alcohol consumption, but further investigation revealed a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit.

The driver was charged with driving under the influence, with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .2, and stopping on the highway. He is currently held at Rappahannock Regional Jail with a secured bond set at $2,000.
