Anne Arundel County Police Apprehend Escapee in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, MD—The Anne Arundel County Police Department successfully apprehended an escapee yesterday afternoon, following a series of updates and community assistance. The individual was taken into custody in the vicinity of Bestgate Road and Annapolis Exchange.

Earlier in the day, police provided details of the ongoing search in updates to the public. At 12:53 p.m., authorities described the escapee as a black male with short dreads, last seen wearing dark-colored pants, without a shirt and shoes. He was reported in the area around Annapolis Exchange (Route 50 and Bestgate Road).

The successful capture at 1:44 p.m. came after community members provided crucial tips and information. The police department extended thanks to those who called in, aiding in the swift resolution of the situation. Further details about the escapee and the circumstances of his escape have not been disclosed at this time.
