One Killed One Critically Injured in D.C. Late-Night Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC—A fatal shooting incident in Southeast resulted in one death and left another person critically injured. D.C. Metro Police Department officers were dispatched just before 2:30 am Tuesday to the 4000 block of South Capitol Street after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found two individuals inside an apartment, each with gunshot injuries.

The first victim was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition by DC Fire and EMS personnel. The second individual was declared deceased at the scene. The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Morris Frazier, a resident of Southeast, Washington, DC.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this homicide.
