Man Attacked from Behind, Robbed in the Bronx

BRONX, NY — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance to identify a suspect involved in a recent robbery within the 44th Precinct. The incident took place on Sunday at approximately 6:30 PM near East 167 Street and Teller Avenue.

An unidentified male reportedly attacked a 56-year-old man from behind, striking him on the side of the head. The victim fell to the ground, and the assailant forcibly took his cellphone and wallet before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained a laceration and bruising to his face and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln by emergency medical services.

The police have released images of the suspect and are urging anyone with information about the robbery to come forward to assist with the investigation.
