Burlington County Man Pleads Guilty to Possessing Destructive Devices

by Breaking Local News Report

Trenton, NJ — Today, a Burlington County man admitted to possessing five destructive devices, as announced by U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.

Jeremy Giliberti, 52, from Mount Laurel, New Jersey, entered his guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Georgette Castner in Trenton federal court.

The charge stems from an incident on July 26, 2023, when Hamilton Township Police Division officers stopped Giliberti’s vehicle. A subsequent search led to the discovery of four pipe bombs in a duffle bag on the front passenger-side floor, with two encased in 5-inch steel pipes and two in cardboard tubing wrapped in duct tape. An additional search at Giliberti’s residence uncovered a fifth destructive device.
