Storm Update: Road Flooding Alerts for Ocean and Monmouth Counties

Road flooded - Use Caution, police advise alternate routes.

As heavy rains continue, significant flooding has impacted various roads in Ocean and Monmouth Counties, leading to closures and detours. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and seek alternative routes where possible. Here are the latest updates from the region as of this evening:

Ocean Township: As of 7:15 PM, NJ Route 66 is experiencing flooding in both directions west of NJ Route 35. All lanes are currently closed and traffic is being detoured.

Deal: Flooding has also been reported on NJ Route 71 in both directions at Brighton Avenue. Similar to Ocean Township, all lanes are closed and detoured.

Additional Flooding on NJ Route 66: There is also flooding reported on NJ Route 66 eastbound west of NJ Route 35 in Ocean Township. All lanes are closed as of 7:14 PM.

Traffic Delays: In Wall Township, there are delays on the Garden State Parkway southbound near Exit 91B-A – CR 549/Chambers Bridge Road, with a reported 2 1/2 mile backup as of 6:53 PM, primarily due to increased traffic volume.
