SPRING CITY, PA—Anthony Burns, a 37-year-old resident of Spring City, Pennsylvania, has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to the sexual assault of minors. The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and Chester County Detectives have charged Burns with statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with minors, among other related charges.
Burns allegedly exploited his position at a Burger King in East Pikeland Township to approach and manipulate his victims, who were both his co-workers at the restaurant. The offenses reportedly took place between December 2023 and February 2024. Magisterial District Judge John Hipple arraigned Burns on July 29, 2024, setting his bail at $150,000. Burns has since waived his preliminary hearing.

District Attorney Christopher L. de Barrena-Sarobe emphasized the gravity of the offenses, stating, “This defendant had sex with one child and groomed another. Our teenagers should be able to participate in work-related activities without the fear of being subjected to this kind of despicable behavior.”
The criminal complaint reveals that Burns engaged in unlawful activities including sneaking into the residence of the first child victim and engaging in sexual intercourse, as well as sending sexually explicit messages and groping the second child victim at the workplace. The community is urged to come forward with any additional information by contacting the Chester County Detectives at 610-344-6866.
