by Local News Report

ARLINGTON, VA — Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport uncovered a stun gun disguised as a cellphone in a carry-on bag during security screening.

The device, designed to resemble an older model iPhone, was shared on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, by TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein.

Similar products can be found online for around $20. While stun guns are legal for adults in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, they are prohibited in carry-on luggage but may be packed in checked baggage if secured properly. Additionally, stun guns are not permitted in certain areas of the District, including government buildings.
