Police Investigating Robbery in Laurel

LAUREL, MD — Authorities are investigating a strong-arm robbery in the early hours of August 23, 2024, in Russett Green E and Russett Commons. At approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of a male victim who had been attacked and robbed by a man and a woman.

The victim walked along Russett Green E when the two suspects approached him. The male suspect tackled the victim to the ground and punched him, while the female suspect strangled the victim as the male suspect searched his pockets. The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s property and cash.

Emergency responders treated the victim for minor injuries at the scene.

Suspect Descriptions:

  • Hispanic Female: Approximately 5’7″ tall.
  • Hispanic Male: Approximately 5’10” tall, short black hair, wearing a green hooded sweatshirt.
