NEW YORK, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual involved in an assault at the West 72 Street & Broadway Subway Station on Friday. The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. within the confines of the 20th Precinct.
Authorities report that a 26-year-old male was engaged in a verbal dispute with an unknown individual inside the subway station. The altercation quickly escalated, leading to the suspect punching and slashing the victim in the face.
Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene and remains at large. The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital by EMS and is reported to be in stable condition.
The NYPD has released images of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the investigation.
