Baltimore police arrest suspect in Western District armed robbery

BALTIMORE — An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a business on North Calhoun Street in the city’s Western District, Baltimore police said Monday.

Officers responded to the 500 block of North Calhoun Street around 7:09 p.m. on September 9 following reports of an armed robbery. The suspect entered the business, brandished a firearm, and threatened employees before stealing merchandise and fleeing on foot, according to police.

Officers in the area quickly located and arrested the suspect. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged with multiple offenses. The investigation is ongoing.
