Juvenile kicked deputy where it hurts, arrested after train track incident

STAFFORD, Va. — A juvenile was taken into custody after assaulting a Stafford County deputy during a welfare check near the Walgreens on White Oak Road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the area at approximately 10:01 p.m. on September 10, 2024, after receiving a report of an unknown problem.

Upon arrival, they found a juvenile walking along nearby train tracks.

As deputies attempted to check on the juvenile’s welfare, the individual kicked one of the deputies in the groin.

The deputy was not seriously injured, and the juvenile was detained. A criminal complaint for assault and battery on law enforcement has been filed. The juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The incident remains under investigation.
