Philadelphia Cop Accidentally Shoots Himself in Precinct Locker Room

PHILADELPHIA — An off-duty officer was injured this afternoon when a fellow officer’s personal firearm accidentally discharged inside the male locker room of the 25th District, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:25 p.m., grazing the injured officer in the left leg. He was transported to Temple University Hospital in stable condition and is expected to be treated and released, according to authorities.

The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details have been released at this time. Police have not provided further updates.
