Baltimore police arrest teen for attempted murder in Cherry Hill Road shooting

BALTIMORE, Md. – A 16-year-old male from Baltimore has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in the Southern District on August 31.

The shooting involved a 26-year-old male victim, who was injured on the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road.

Authorities obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect on Monday, and he was taken into custody on Wednesday.

The suspect is detained at the Central Booking Intake Facility without bail, facing charges of attempted first-degree murder.

Officers initially responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:35 p.m. on August 31 in the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road. Subsequently, they received a call regarding a walk-in shooting victim at a local hospital.

The victim, suffering from a gunshot wound, was found to be in stable condition. Southern District Shooting detectives took over the investigation, connecting the teen suspect to the shooting.
