Man Injured in Shooting and Stabbing Incident in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 26-year-old man was shot and slashed in East New York early Sunday, according to police.

The incident occurred around 12:05 a.m. on September 22, 2024, near the intersection of Fulton Street and Elton Street. The victim was approached by two unknown men, one of whom fired multiple rounds, striking him in the left shoulder. The second attacker slashed the victim’s face with a knife, authorities said.

After the assault, the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. Emergency Medical Services responded to the location and transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was reported in stable condition.

One of the suspects is described as a male with black hair and a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a black and red shirt, dark jeans, and black and red sneakers, police said.
