Stafford, VA – A Woodbridge man has been charged with multiple felonies following the discovery of controlled substances hidden in his socks.

On Sunday at approximately 7:48 p.m., Sergeant E.E. West and Deputy S.A. Edwards responded to a disturbance call at the Quality Inn on 28 Greenspring Drive. The disturbance involved a verbal altercation between a male and female, allegedly over another woman.

The deputies identified the male involved as 25-year-old Gibril Kondeh, who showed signs of intoxication. Kondeh admitted to having used a controlled substance earlier and was detained for public intoxication.

His behavior hindered a bond hearing, leading to his transfer to Rappahannock Regional Jail Intake.

At the jail, officers found Kondeh wearing two pairs of socks. Inside one sock, they discovered several baggies with suspected controlled substances. Further search revealed additional substances, including pills possibly containing fentanyl. Kondeh now faces charges of public intoxication, possession with intent to distribute, and felonies by a prisoner.
