Suspect in Custody Following Hit and Run in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, VA – Chesapeake Police apprehended a suspect connected to a hit and run collision. On Friday at approximately 11:17 a.m., officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles on N. Battlefield Blvd near WoodLake Dr. One of the vehicles left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.

The driver who remained at the scene was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities located the runaway vehicle and its driver, who was subsequently arrested. Traffic lanes blocked during the incident were later reopened.

The case remains an active investigation. Police are seeking assistance from the public for any additional information regarding the incident.
